Spell bee competetion - first round

The first round of spell bee competetion was held on 26-11-2015 ( Thursday ) 

Students listening carefully to the words being called in the competition and penning down the right word in their notebooks . comeon kids you gotto get all correct . 

VISIT TO GENERAL POST OFFICE

students had some good window shopping fun in the post shoppe complex withi GPO premises where they found all the basic goods were available for sale to make shopping more easy. 

Students listening very carefully to their mentor at GPO who was taking them for a tour and making them knowledgeable about the role of treasurey section at the post office . 

Mail bus taking our important documents , letters , cards to our near and dear ones and helping us stay connected with them . 

Diwali celebrations - visit to model town

Students visited model town to see the arrangements for diwali .It was lovely to see their eyes sparkling with excitment while taking a look at the shops around all decorated with lights and diyas and beautiful diyas for sale , 

Students were asked to come traditionally dressed to get a more ethinic feeling of diwali festival being celebrated at school . It was amazing too see our little champs alll dressed up smart kurta pajymas and beautiful suits . 

Students also decorated diyas at school which they later lighted up outside their classes . 

Smokeless cooking

Smokeless cooking competetion was organized for PYP sudents on 6th novemebr where students had to come up with yummy healthy delicious recipes and the main factor to be considered was that it was smokeless . Kudoes to our students who came up with scrumptious dishes

Learning fractions is fun

 Grades 3, 4 , 5 learning fractions in a more funfilled way where  students never wanted the maths class to come to an end .

Yuvraj sharing his knowledge with other students on what are fractions and how are they used in our daily life . 

Creativity is a big add on to our learning - students learnt division of fractions through cake activity where students were divided in two groups and students had to divide cake equally amongst all students .

Puppet making competetion

Pritpal made a finger puppet and narrated aself composed  short and sweet  story on friends - 

Yuvraj made a puppet with socks - he made a girl named  Mindy .
It was lovely to see kids creativity come out so beautifully 

Hardil made a puppet with socks - he made a ghost puppet with 3 eyes . Hardil through this competetion even celebrated Hallowen in his own way . great efforts Hardil -kudos to your efforts  keep it up .

 Angles play a very important role in our daily life - wether they are for driving or clicking a photograph or constructing a building

It was great seeing my student explaining the chart in so mch detail . each and every concept of inquiry was covered by Yuvraj in the chart.

Creativiy enhances our love for learning and adds to our knowledge which could be clearly seen when Yuvraj was on his task of explaining the technological developments over a period of time from ancient to modern time. 

STUDENT LED CONFRENCE - SEPTEMBER -2015 - GRADE 4 & 5

 Students of grade 4&5 collabratively gave a power point  presentation on Migration and Civilizations  in student led confrence .

Where we are in place and time

Students visited ozzy travels and immigarnts and Overseas education and immigrants to understand how people migrate from one country to another and what are the important documents required to migrate and how civilizations are born out of migrations . 

 Students got to see a copy of visa for United states of America and time period till it is valid .

   My students learnt the rules of debtae and expressed their thoughts as well . Yuvraj spoke against the motion on the topic :If there is life on any other planet . Through this students communication skills were focused to be developed . 

French teacher (Mr. Pradeep) teaching students the vocabulary related to solar system. it was fun watching students exploring the vocabulary of french as IB believes in Trans disciplinary approach .  .

How the world works - importance of sunlight on our planet

Student of grade 5  made a chart to explain the importance of sunlight in our life and understood that Sun plays a very important role in the solar system and without sun our Earth would be covered in the black cloud  .

Students of grade 5 teaching Kg2 students why sun is important in our life and is required for everything that exists in this world . .
